Software and controls for intelligent laser machines

Zenna Laser develops software and control systems that make industrial laser machines reliable, flexible and easy to operate.

Software connects the laser process with motion, vision, robotics, handling and safety. It helps operators run the machine correctly, supports stable production and gives engineers better control over process settings, machine behaviour and production data.

Software and machine control for laser automation

A laser machine only performs well when every part of the process works together. Material movement, positioning, laser timing, vision feedback, robotics, inspection, handling and safety functions all need to be coordinated with precision.

Zenna Laser develops software and machine controls in house, allowing each system to be configured around the complete production process. This creates stable machine behaviour, repeatable output and one controlled workflow for lasers, robots, vision systems and material handling.

Clear operation through the HMI

The HMI is the operator’s main connection to the machine. It brings daily operation into one clear interface, where operators can select recipes, view machine status, follow instructions and respond to alarms.

A well-designed HMI reduces mistakes, shortens training time and helps operators keep the process under control during production. Instead of managing separate systems, the operator works from one interface that reflects the full machine workflow.

Flexible production with recipe management

Recipe management makes it easier to switch between products, materials, patterns and process settings. A recipe can contain laser parameters, cutting paths, positions, handling instructions and other machine settings required for a specific job.

This reduces manual setup, shortens changeovers and limits operator-dependent variation. Where needed, recipes can be managed from a central database, supporting change control and consistent machine settings across production lines or locations.

Integrated control of PLC, laser, vision and robotics

PLC and machine control form the technical backbone of the system. Zenna Laser integrates Siemens and Allen-Bradley controls to coordinate sensors, actuators, lasers, robots, safety functions and material handling within one reliable control architecture.

In advanced machines, laser processing must also be synchronised with vision data, robot movement and material transport. By connecting these technologies into one workflow, the machine can detect, position, process and handle products with consistent timing and accuracy.

Process data, monitoring and traceability

Zenna Laser systems can log process settings, output data, alarms, deviations, quality checks and machine status. This gives production teams insight into what happens during production and helps engineers monitor performance over time.

Process data supports traceability, makes recurring issues easier to identify and provides a stronger basis for improving stability, output and quality across shifts and production runs.

Integration with existing factory systems

Zenna Laser machines can be connected to existing production lines, databases, customer software or factory systems such as MES and ERP.

This allows production data, recipes and process information to move between the machine and the wider factory environment. The level of integration is defined around the customer’s process, IT requirements and production goals.
