FlexMarker 15/1200 & 20/2400

The FlexMarker 15/1200 and FlexMarker 20/2400 are highly flexible laser modules for marking on insulation wool with widths of 1,200 mm or 2,400 mm. The laser marking system is built on a bridge-type platform, that is mounted above the production line, to use as less space as possible. It covers the entire material width up to 1.2 meters or 2.4 meters. On the platform, the laser and scanner are housed in a protective cabinet with removable covers.

The scanner is directed downwards onto the insulation wool through an opening in the platform. The insulation wool is guided through the laser markig station by means of a conveyor belt.

Laser markings is a modern engraving technology for marketing, identification, traceability and counterfeiting purposes. It can be used for marking:

  • Logo’s, Product names
  • Grids and arrows
  • Required information regarding legislation (recycling)
  • Batch codes and Isolation values
  • Thickness indication and sizes

Benchmark

Laser marking encounters a growing popularity versus the traditional ‘hot-wheel’, press and ink-jet.The most significant advangtes of laser marking are:

Process

Once the insulation material moves forward within the range of the laser, it is detected by a sensor. This sensor sends a signal to the laser and scanner. The material is guided through the process by an existing conveyor belt of the client. Using an encoder wheel, the speed of the material is determined and transmitted to the scanner and the laser. The desired pattern, such as a logo or brand name, as well as other information like a unique batch number ( date and time), is loaded into the HMI (Human-Machine Interface), which is mounted at the front of the line. It is very easy to quickly switch between different patterns, making the changeover time very short compared to traditional marking methods.
